I know that this one is in the 2005 Rendering gallery. The reason behind this is because around this time the hard drive in my computer failed in the worst way. It was sent out to three different recovery companies (two of which have a worldwide reputation) and none of them could get a single byte of data off of it. Shortly before the failure I moved my Bryce work off of that computer to the server on the network. Within 24 hours of that is when the hard drive in my computer failed.
This was the only thing I could work on while my computer was waiting for a) the recovery companies to tell me that they couldn't get my data back and b) a new hard drive to arrive. The techniques used in this are from a tutorial I was working on at the time. It is inspired by a painting that was Grandpa's that I had in my old bedroom.
