One of the things that surprised me about my hotel room was the high ceiling. The room itself was actually kind of small when speaking of floor space. The ceiling on the other hand was really high. I could stand on the bed and still not touch the ceiling. The doors there are seven foot doors. That should give you an idea of ceiling height.
