Those aren't tree stumps; those are grave markers. They seemed to be pretty haphazardly set. I don't normally worry about things like etiquette, but I wanted to at least try to be mindful of those around me. Unfortunately with the seemingly random arrangement of headstones it was difficult for me to figure out where one grave was in relation to another. Some of the stones seemed to be much too close to one another for a grave to be in the location one would expect.
